"LAKU-KUBU" ACHOLI-LUO DANCE

The Acholi culture has multiple symbolic forms of expression. What the Luo group presented on PCJ cultural day is one of the aspects. It has been named “Laku-Kubu” deriving it from the way the instruments were played. The songs were sung and people dance around showing their happiness especially at marriages, graduation, remembering the deceased person and sometimes after harvesting crops where later people drink and relax.
